Graduation 2022 Information

After March 4th, 2022, students will need to purchase caps and gowns in person on Senior Checkout Day on May 27th. If you plan to buy a cap and gown in person on Senior Checkout Day, the cost is $43.00 (+tax) and can be paid for with cash or credit card.

The Senior Class invites all seniors and their families to purchase a 

Lavender Dendrobium Lei from the Hawaiian Lei Company for your Graduation Ceremony.

Lei pick up will be announced at a later date.

Last Day to order is May 20, 2022

Proceeds will provide money for Senior Activities

 

DPHS traditionally features a few student speakers at this event. Any senior interested in giving a speech at the 2022 Graduation Ceremony is welcome to submit a speech draft for consideration. A committee will listen to all speeches submitted and determine which 2-4 students will speak at the ceremony.

Graduation 2022 will be on Thursday, June 2nd and we traditionally have a few student speakers at this ceremony. Therefore we are inviting all graduating seniors to submit a speech to potentially be considered for the 2022 graduation ceremony.

The following are guidelines to help you craft your graduation speech:

1. Speeches should be ~3 minutes long.

2. They must be your original work.

3. Speeches should be typed and double spaced.

• Speeches must be emailed to Ms. van Alphen no later than Monday, May 9th at 4:00pm.

• You will receive confirmation that your speech was received and further information for next steps.

• Tryouts will be held on May 13th during 4th period in the EPAC

Graduation practice is MANDATORY. It is expected that graduates are on time, follow the directions given and will not leave the rehearsal until dismissed. Work schedules, Dr.'s appointments and other obligations will not be excused. In case of illness, please contact the administrator for seniors prior to practice. Failure to attend graduation practice will terminate students participation in the ceremony.
